Making Progress

I have completed a painting from the bathtub photoshoot, and am completely head over heels for it. This is probably the first painting that I have completed in a very long time that I am so attached to.

I really put my all in to seeing colors, mixing them with my still somewhat novice level of color theory, and bravely adding more drama to the colors that I really liked. I have an idea for a portrait which will probably be done in a similar style.

While I have not heard much back on my sketches for the kitty condos (see below) I have received a commission for a pet portrait, and will have prints of my work available this week. I am not entirely sure what needs to be done on their end, but hopefully my friends at localartistprints.com will have me all set up by Monday. Many of the originals are still available if you are interested!

The last couple of days I have received a lot of encouragement and validation as to what progress people are seeing. While I don't always feel it, as it's hard to see anything you are smack in the middle of, I do feel a renewed sense of commitment. I appreciate the love and support of those around me, as it is helping me stay on this path of true fulfillment and joy. Ultimately it means focus!
